Isaac Burgess Sr. was born about 1791 (or 1784, according to the 1851 census) at Chorley, Cheshire Co., England. He married Sophia __ about 1827. He is listed in the 1841-51 censuses for Great Warford, Alderley Parish, Cheshire Co., England. He worked as a weaver. He died there after 1851, having had at least two sons:

2. Charles Burgess (1835?- ), died young?

Isaac Burgess Jr. was born about 1831 at Great Warford, Cheshire Co., England. He married Margaret (Wareham?) about 1867. He is listed with his father in the 1841-51 censuses, in 1861 at Chorley, Cheshire Co., with Sarah Burgess (born 1780), in 1871 at Fulshaw, Cheshire Co., in 1881 at Mobberley, Cheshire Co., and in 1891 at Chorley. He apparently died at Chorley in 1895, having had four sons:

Arthur Burgess was born about 1872 at Mobberley or Great Warford, Macclesfield, Cheshire Co., England (listed variously in different censuses). He married Marian Louise Palmer in 1896 at Hambledon, Surrey Co., England. He is listed in the 1891 census for Chorley, Cheshire Co., England, and in 1901 for Clowne, Derbyshire Co., England. He was a coal miner. Arthur Burgess died in 1910 at Clowne, Worksop, Derbyshire Co., England, having had at least one son:

Albert Palmer Burgess is the ancestor of S. W. Burgess.
